Terms of reservation

Lehontulet / TaloYlläs Oy applies the following items and conditions when booking and canceling accommodation. These conditions are binding on both parties as soon as the customer has made a reservation for accommodation.

Booking and payment

The booking is confirmed when the customer has paid the 30% deposit by the due date. Rest of the balance will be invoiced sixty (60) days before check-in.

For online bookings, the full amount of the accommodation fee will be charged at the time of booking.

Cancellations

Cancellations must always be made in writing by e-mail to olehuoletta@lehontulet.fi or by letter to Kotivaarantie 8, 95970 Äkäslompolo. The cancellation is considered to have been notified on the day Lehontulet/Talo Ylläs Oy is informed of the cancellation.

If the customer cancels the reservation sixty (60) days before the start of the stay, the customer will be refunded the remaining accommodation fee after office costs of 50 euros. When cancelling less than sixty (60) days before check-in, the full amount of the accommodation fee will be retained. In the case of resale of the entire stay, the remaining amount of the accommodation will be refunded to the customer after deduction of 50 euros for office expenses.

In the case of cancellation due to e.g. a coronavirus epidemic, or any other disaster where the Finnish government has imposed restrictions, 50% of the accommodation fee will be refunded to the customer. In the case of resale of the entire stay, the remaining amount of the accommodation will be refunded to the customer after deduction of 50 euros for office expenses.

Remember to take travel insurance when planning your trip and use it if necessary.

In the event of force majeure or if the customer has not complied with the booking conditions, the accommodation provider has the right to cancel the booking. The accommodation provider also has the right to transfer the accommodation to equivalent accommodation if, for any reason, the accommodation booked by the customer is not available at the time. The customer will be informed of the situation without delay.

Accommodation

The room is available from 16.00 on the day of arrival until 10.00 on the day of departure.

The price of the accommodation includes linen for the number of persons in the booking. Only the number of persons in the booking is allowed to stay in the accommodation..

The keys provided are the responsibility of the customer for the duration of the stay. The customer is responsible for the cost of any lost keys. These costs will be counted on a case-by-case basis for having new keys made and/or locks changed. The costs are subject to an additional office fee of €50.

The accommodation provider is not responsible for any belongings of the customer that are stored or left in the accommodation or other premises.

The client must obey the silent time in the area from 23.00 to 7.00, when disturbance and noise are prohibited. If during this period of silence there is unreasonable disturbance to other people in the area, the guest may be removed from the accommodation. In this case, the accommodation will be checked-out immediately and the customer will not be entitled to claim a refund for any payments made.

All accommodations are non-smoking. Smoking in accommodations will result in a €250 ventilation fee and/or ionisation costs.

Extra services

Final cleaning is included in the price of the accommodation. Guests are responsible for ensuring that furniture is in place, dishes are in the dishwasher or drying cabinet, recyclable waste is sorted and mixed, cardboard and plastic waste is taken to the recycling bins in the designated waste points.

The price of accommodation includes seasonal extra services: snowshoes, kicksleds, sledges, sliders, children's snow shovels and sleigh shovels, shared ski storage facilities, shared outdoor fireplace, shared sandy beach, bicycles, sup-boards, rowing boat and life jackets. Additional services are available to guests without reservation and subject to availability. The products of the additional services must be returned to their place of storage. Any shortcomings or damage should be reported to the staff without delay. Damage caused by vandalism will result in charge of a cost of a new product and/or the cost of repair and/or replacement cost of €30/h.

Pets are allowed in the pet cabins, provided they have been notified in advance. A pet cleaning fee is 30€ for stays of 1-4 days and 50€ for stays of 5 days or more.

Electric vehicles can be charged from 8A sockets in front of the accommodation. Charging fee is 5€/day or 25€/week.

Reclamations

Any shortcomings or damages in the accommodation should be reported immediately to the staff. Damage caused by vandalism will result in charge of the cost of a new product and/or repair costs and/or procurement costs of 30 €/h.
